How to Update Your Post-Pregnancy Wardrobe| Affordable Style Edit

The Affordable Post-Pregnancy Wardrobe Edit

Why an affordable edit? Well, it’s an update to what’s already in my wardrobe. I’ve used some of my  staples, with just few added bits to make it all feel like a whole new wardrobe. And I’ve found everything at great prices, despite the labels.

I am at that stage post-pregnancy now where I am ready to step out of my initial ‘mummyform’ and  I made a pact with myself that I wouldn’t buy anything new for myself until I was ready to start getting out of my initial standard issue maternity/breastfeeding wear and into something a little more me.

Whilst deciding how that looks whilst still breastfeeding, I decided to be organised and I had a root through my wardrobe and my vacuum packs. And you know what, I and found I didn’t need to add much to come up with what feels like a completely new wardrobe. It all feels flattering and stylish and means I can relegate my mummyform (most of it).

Hurrah!

I’ve linked everything from where I bought it where I can and where it’s still available. And, at the end of the post are alternatives of the same style. In my wardrobe, I started with:

I  bought the Mango, Dune and Ted Baker stuff from Secret Sales. One of my favourite ever sites. I’ve done a couple of really popular blog posts on shops I have done. Have a read of:

I’ve added:

The combinations are (almost) endless.

Don’t let the website photos put you off buying certain things. My photos show how these things can look on real, non-model type people!

I didn’t do all the accessories and combinations as, well, it would have taken me years! But, as it’s getting colder, I love thick opaque tights,  and the control ones are great for smoothing things out. Scarves and jewellery can transform the basics too. I’ll admit, I may have gone a little rogue with the backless top, but I  think it’s great for drinks this time of year, I just need to find the right backless shape wear…

Also, the dresses might not be that breastfeeding friendly, but the long sleeved nursing top and a midi skirt would give the same look.

We had a bit of a laugh making this post and video clip. It’s my first of its type, so I’m still learning, but I hope some of the looks and ideas will be useful. Don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel!
