  • Disconnected? It’s been a weekend of pottering, relaxing and getting stuff sorted. It’s a funny one being a coparent and living out in the sticks. I don’t have any close friends nearby so when B goes to his dad’s on Saturday, some weekends I can find that I don’t speak physically to anyone until work on Monday! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I know some people will think that sounds great, but it can be lonely and I still find it really hard that I don’t see my child every day. In all honesty, although I don’t think I’ll ever fully make my peace with that part, it’s our life now and we do make it work. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But, I’ve also learned to find the silver lining and in a lot of ways it’s good for me as an introvert because during the week it’s just non-stop, so Sunday gives me some space to get all the chores done (fun times!), catch up on work, generally reassemble our home and my mind, and decompress. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And now and then, I do even go out! 😱 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, this weekend, I’m grateful for ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨the time to listen to some amazing podcasts (thanks @alifemoreinspired and @whittletakefl1ght ), ✨ the chance to bathe without an audience pointing and asking “what’s that?” (‘that’ being the artist formerly known as my boobs!), ✨ time to go through my choreography for my class tomorrow night and ✨the catch up on some blogging.   • What's coming up on Kitty & B 3.0. Yes, I've been away for a lot longer than expected and it's weirdly unnerving to press 'post'! It started with me in hospital, which then led me making some life changes. And some blog changes. Because, it's been nearly 3 years since Kitty and B started! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It started as my creative outlet on mat leave to keep my skills up to date. It was never a money making venture. Which is just as well, as I've barely made any! Haha. I had a wobble this year, but I never stopped producing content. I am always doing that.   • Mental Progress ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you ever look back on pics where you weren’t confident about something about yourself at the time, but think “I wish I looked like that now”? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve been having a few revelations recently. One is that I realised I didn’t *see* myself when I look in the mirror. Too busy looking at the individual things I‘m not happy with to take in the whole. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, as part of this year’s programme of working on my physical and mental fitness equally, I started taking pictures instead of relying on the mirror. Yes, I feel awkward and 99% of the time look awkward, but it’s amazing how when I see myself all together, I’m less critical. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So this was taken this weekend for me with no intention of Instagram. I think I actually look confident. And it’s here - I’m getting there! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, this is for a future #throwbackthursday where instead of looking back and wishing I looked like this again, I will *feel* better about my whole self and all my parts and won’t be concerned about what people will think and say and will give myself a pat on the back for working to achieve that! 🙌🏾 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve also been inspired by the #bemorewitwitwoo hashtag.
